For 35 years, Compagnie Retouramont has been inventing new possibilities in vertical dance through the creation of new apparatus and cross-fertilisation with other artistic disciplines.
A pioneer in the practice of vertical dance, the Retouramont company doesn't stop at a single discipline, but rather combines different arts in a given territory to create a singular work. The city becomes our playground, an immense laboratory where every space, every building becomes an invitation to creation. From historic monuments (Saint-Eustache church, Mont-Saint-Michel abbey, Château de Vincennes...) to the most modern buildings (Singapore skyscrapers, BnF-François Mitterrand, high-rise apartment blocks...), the company adapts and engages in dialogue with places and materials, to offer an ever-new experience.

The creation of vertical apparatus is the trademark of Retouramont. A wall allows two-dimensional evolution, while our aerial apparatus opens up an extra dimension. All directions of space are open thanks to these apparatuses: from the surface of walls, to the ground and the immensity of the void.
